NEW YORK, NY – January 22, 2009 – The Offstage Group created a special fashion-focused event last Thursday evening with breakout designer Ashleigh Verrier at the private Norwood Club for the first 2009 installment of Microsoft’s Women Executive Forum quarterly event series.
The event included live models and featured a sampling of twelve looks from Verrier’s current and past collections, with a sneak peak of some upcoming designs she will show in the Bryant Park tents on February 14th during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Verrier gave a fascinating speaking presentation during the show on the evolution of her design aesthetic and international brand. This exclusive experience was open to only 25 of Microsoft’s top customers, all senior women executives, and also included a cocktail reception before and after the show where guests had the opportunity to network with each other, and meet and mingle with the designer, her models, and her mother and business partner Jude Verrier. The Offstage Group worked closely with the Verrier team, including their brand consulting partners at Brand Building Communications, to create a successful loyalty marketing event for Microsoft’s Executive Engagement Manager Rosalind Murphy. Together, they created an intimate setting in the fourth-floor Screening Room at the beautiful Norwood Club—a private social club on West 14th Street with a membership focused on individuals working in the creative arts professions. The custom décor included video footage of Verrier’s past two Bryant Park shows projected on the room’s media wall. Michael Kuhn, the producer of the event, said Verrier was his first-choice pick to partner with on the event out of all the women designers from the Fall 2008 Bryant Park shows not only because of her beautiful designs, but because of her fascinating story and engaging personality. Verrier’s collections have already garnered her tremendous recognition and acclaim. After being named 2004 Parsons’ “Designer of the Year” in 2004, Saks purchased Verrier’s entire senior thesis collection electing to place it alongside Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Chloe and Marni in an unprecedented showoff support.
